Derby and Derbyshire Local Medical Committee (DDLMC)
Derby and Derbyshire LMC is the ONLY committee with a statutory obligation to represent interests of Derby and Derbyshire General Practitioners working in the National Health Service irrespective of which type of medical services contract held.
Derby and Derbyshire LMC has a major role to play in the provision of primary care and offers a unique position of influence within the NHS. With 100 years of corporate intelligence and memory.
The committee comprises of 19 elected members and meet bi-monthly. The elected members and officers of Derby and Derbyshire LMC remain at the heart of the organisation. Acting under the elected members’ direction, the LMC liaises, engages and negotiates with and between NHS North Midlands, Public Health, Commissioning Managers, Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and GP practices.

Derbyshire GP Alliance (GPA)
Are a group of Derbyshire based GP leaders, who are representing, advocating for and developing General Practice in Derbyshire.

The Derbyshire GPA are the business owners providing the vast majority of General Practice, primary care and community-based care.
The Derbyshire GPA are a strategic alliance which encompasses primary care networks, federations, super-partnerships and GP practices across the totality of Derbyshire.
The Derbyshire GPA influence and develop the system of health and social care in Derbyshire by making autonomous decisions about local General Practice.
