Wellbeing Champion

Becoming a Wellbeing Champion is a voluntary role, which is open to any member of the team.  All that is required is the enthusiasm and commitment to the health and wellbeing agenda and to support your organisation to improve the health and wellbeing of the workforce.

A Wellbeing Champion will actively promote and encourage colleagues to participate in health and wellbeing initiatives. Find more information here.

Wellbeing Guardian

Wellbeing Guardians, have the opportunity to make a real difference in their organisation, placing staff health and wellbeing at the heart what they do. They will be in an ideal position to support, influence and seek assurance from your senior leaders, creating a culture of wellbeing where the organisation cares for its people, who care for others.

Bookable appointments are available for every primary care site with a health improvement advisor to visit in person or virtually.

They will be able to distribute specialist knowledge, raise awareness and promote local and national initiatives to improve wellbeing within your teams.

CiC – Employee Assistance Programme

CiC

Derbyshire Primary Care employees have free access to emotional and practical support through CiC’s Confidential Care service. The service is provided by CiC, an external organisation, who are entirely independent, so support and advice is completely confidential. You can call the Confidential Care line as often and for as long as you need and discuss any issues you would like support with, for example:

  • Managing pressure
  • Bullying and harassment
  • Performance at work
  • Marital, family and relationship difficulties
  • Stress, anxiety and depression
  • Alcohol/substance misuse and addictive behaviour
  • Bereavement
  • Work/life balance issues

CiC can also provide you with a referral for structured counselling, if you and the telephone advisor decide that may be helpful. The Confidential Care service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and is accessed by calling the freephone number:

Primary Care Coaching

coaching support for primary care staff

Individual coaching is available with a skilled and experienced coach who will work with you to discuss any area of your wellbeing that you would like to address. They will listen, ask questions and support you to develop practical strategies to cope with your situation and stay well.

It might be that by having a one-off conversation you will have all the strategies you need, or you might find a few sessions helpful. It is all led by you.
